I have devoured
you countless
striped you bare
with my eyes,
tasting pleasure
as I choreograph
in my head,
but agony
was our reality,
sour taste,
however brief
it lasted,
I guess,
I fell
for the
version in
my imagination,
the you
that does
not exist.

    1. One of the reasons we experience conflict in relationships is because our perception most of the time tends to be different from reality on ground. So we need to work on ourselves so we don’t expect too much or get carried away by what is not…Thanks righteousbruin9.

  1. Very beautifully written and wonderfully expressed. Each word painting a picture of a relationship with unspoken expectations.

  2. Sometimes it’s very difficult to know someone, depends on so many things, so many variables. No doubt we all projected onto another who we’ve imagined them to be.
In fact, because I’m very difficult to get to know and even harder to read this has been said numerous times to me.
I think it can be crushing for both parties.
